The Coalition of Edmonton Civic Unions sent the attached letter to City Council this week, responding to a tough update from Administration about the City’s budget projections for the end of the year.
As the City moves to tackle this issue, they cannot forget that thousands of City employees have seen their wages fall further and further behind thanks to years of low (or no!) increases and soaring inflation.
We urge Council to keep this top of mind as they go forward.
